These products have been discontinued and will no longer be part of any new software or hardware development nor will they have any further specific updates. But Win7 is somewhere on the distant horizon... A lot of people report problems with that. If sound is coming through the WAVE 1 / 2 channel strip (as opposed to any ASIO, or any physical inputs) the WDM driver is being used? OP needs beta driver version 2.30: EmuPMX_PCDrv_US_2_30_00_BETA.exe and the Patchmix: EmuPMX_PCApp_US_2_20_00.exe It is hard to find, because both files are on support page of E-MU 1616M PCIe. (PCIe is misleading) I useful reference This means you can't preview samples when replacing drum sounds in cubase 5, for example.
